The Breastfeeding Manifesto is new and holds huge potential to initiate and sustain lasting change in the UK, enabling more women to make fully informed decisions and be fully supported in their choice of how they wish to feed their baby.
Over the coming weeks and months we will be contacting key individuals in the public-eye and asking them if they would like to add their support to the Breastfeeding Manifesto.
If you are an individual who "fits this bill" then please email us with your quote and photograph, as well as a contact number or email for verification, we will then be in touch.
Theo Walcott
"I have grown up knowing how important breastfeeding is as my mum was a La Leche League breastfeeding leader. Healthy eating is a very important part of my life as a professional footballer. I would like to support the 'Breastfeeding Manifesto' as it would help to ensure the first step to a healthy lifestyle for all children."

Ms. Manchester
“They say the best things in life are free and I found this to be very true with regards to breastfeeding. For me it was a warm and comforting experience that I shared with my babies and one that I will always treasure. It also helped me regain my figure at time when working out at the gym was the last thing on my mind.”
“ Breastfeeding can help reduce the risk of cancer. Awareness costs nothing but has the potential to save countless lives |

Elle Macpherson
As part of her role as Ambassador to the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative, Elle Macpherson is happy to lend her support to the Breastfeeding Manifesto. “Breastfeeding is the best start to a baby’s life, but some women can find it difficult at first and unfortunately many mothers are not given the support they need to be able to breastfeed. When women give birth in UNICEF Baby Friendly Accredited units, where all staff are trained to support mothers in how to breastfeed successfully, breastfeeding rates are much higher. Mothers should be demanding that their maternity unit becomes Baby Friendly so they can get as much help as possible to give their babies the best start in life.” |

Jemima Khan
Jemima Khan, in her role as UNICEF Ambassador, has added her support to the Breastfeeding Manifesto; "Breastfeeding is a the best way to feed your baby. It gives protection against diseases that no formula can, and changes daily to meet your babies' needs. Sadly, many women, for a variety of reasons, feel reluctant or unable to breastfeed, but I believe it should be the normal acceptable thing to do." |

Super Model Laura Bailey
Laura Bailey, through her involvement with Best Beginnings, has added her support to Breastfeeding Manifesto. "I have enjoyed a wonderful breastfeeding experience with my son, and he has enjoyed the many health benefits of my milk. But I know that many 1000's of women don't get the support and the information they need to breastfeed.
I have read the Manifesto and it makes total sense, it is a simple and effective document that I believe must be put into action. With your help we can make it happen." |
